Canon’s House, Bristol

Built 1988-91

Designed by Arup Associates

Canon’s House was a key part of the regeneration of Bristol docks in the late 80s. It replaced a number of bonded warehouses and became the regional headquarters of Lloyds Bank. It is now one of the most recognisable buildings in the city.

In 2022, it was awarded Grade II Listing by Historic England. A relief given that Lloyds had put it up for sale and it faced an uncertain future. In December 2024, it was reported that real estate investment company, Mactaggart Family & Partners (MF&P), had bought the building with a plan to use it for offices, restuarants and cultural events.
